Alpha-1 Education Days bring educational programs to more than 1,000 Alphas and family members to regions throughout the US each year, providing access to education programming for those who cannot travel long distances.
The Annual National Education Conference brings together Alphas and their families from across the country to share in a weekend of educational programs given by national experts and leaders in the field of Alpha-1 and other areas such as health, nutrition, emotional support, and public policy.
Educational materials are published with the Alpha-1 Foundation on a variety of topics, including: the basics of Alpha-1, literature for newly diagnosed Alphas, Alpha-1 Carriers and a Healthcare Providers Guide. Information is available to parents of Alpha-1 children through its partnership with Alpha-1 Kids.
Alpha-1 News, the Association’s quarterly publication, brings news and information to more than 10,000 members of the Alpha-1 Community, including patients and their families, caregivers and medical professionals.
