This year, he will captain his largest team with over 20 investigators focusing on Alpha-1 research. Alpha and patient Karin Pittsley is joining the team, returning for her 2nd year as a volunteer.
Karin says, “This year, I am honored to be part of Dr. Wilson’s team at BU. He and his team are leading research and working toward finding a cure for Alpha-1. While a few promising and less invasive treatments are on the horizon, the current treatment continues to be weekly infusions.
