Alpha-1 Legacy Society

The Alpha-1 Legacy Society brings together donors who want to make an impact in the future of Alpha-1. The charitable goals of members are linked together by their desire to create a better world for those with Alpha-1 for generations to come. Members of this society are recognized for their commitment to the mission of the Alpha-1 Foundation and their willingness to secure its future through a planned gift.

All donors who generously commit to provide funds to the Alpha-1 Foundation through a planned gift of any amount  are recognized as members of the Alpha-1 Legacy Society and entitled to the following benefits:

  • Special member reception at the annual Alpha-1 National Conference
  • Annual meeting with Alpha-1 Foundation leadership
  • Invitations to attend research update meetings
  • Alpha-1 Legacy Society lapel pin

The John W. Walsh Founder’s Circle

The John W. Walsh Founder’s Circle is a tribute to the co-founder of the Alpha-1 Foundation, John W. Walsh, who dedicated his life’s work to finding a cure for Alpha-1. Members of the Founders Circle have named the Alpha-1 Foundation as a primary beneficiary of planned gifts in the amount of $50,000 or more.

In addition to receiving all Legacy Society benefits, Circle members are recognized on a plaque at the A1F offices and receive special invitation to a reception at the biennial Investigators Meeting to hear first-hand reports from top Alpha-1 researchers.
