Thank you for being part of the 2021 Virtual Alpha-1 National Conference! You, the Alphas, are the center of everything that we do and we are so grateful that you have taken the time to join us. This has been an incredible three days of education, information from key opinion leaders and networking with old friends and new.
We had participants from all 50 states and 20 countries. There were nearly 1,700 people on the virtual platform and over 700 of them were first time attendees. Welcome to the Alpha-1 community, you are now part of the Alpha-1 family.
Over 24 hours of interaction and engagement was provided, we had 3 Platinum Sponsor Live events, heard from 5 awesome keynote speakers, hosted 9 Question & Answer sessions, and a special event fundraiser…. All in the 3 days.

Attend your support group meetings, participate in Riding for a Reason in September, participate in November’s Alpha-1 Awareness Month, start a virtual walk, become an advocate, join our fall Lobby Day, and make sure you join the Alpha-1 Research Registry.

Your Day Three recap of the Virtual Alpha-1 National Conference
Thank you to Takeda for opening day three with a fun and interactive trivia hour! We learned so many interesting facts about Alpha-1 and Takeda.
Thank you to Carey Lohrenz, First Female F-14 Tomcat Fighter Pilot, US Navy for the incredible Keynote Presentation “Span of Control: Identifying and Overcoming Stress, Anxiety and Burnout.” We enjoyed hearing from Carey again this year and learning about her new book “Span of Control.” Carey has generously donated 150 of her books to conference attendees. The first 150 people that entered her keynote presentation will be receiving a copy.
The conference platform will be open until July 5th to view the sessions again or catch anything that you might have missed.
