Recognizing World Oxygen Day, October 2, 2024

World Oxygen Day celebrates everyone who benefits from oxygen therapy. From babies to adults, millions of people rely on oxygen to breathe easier and live better. Alpha-1 can severely impact lung health, making every breath precious. Lung-affected Alphas often rely on oxygen for daily activities and/or for sleep. Oxygen therapy is recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) as essential for treating serious illnesses and improving quality of life.

Oxygen therapy helps people with chronic breathing problems. Despite its importance, many people struggle to get the needed oxygen equipment, and the COVID-19 pandemic made this even harder. World Oxygen Day aims to highlight these challenges and promote better access to oxygen therapy.
